Boxy Boys up the ante at the India-Bangladesh Wheelchair Cricket Series in Mumbai

Mumbai, April 4th 2018: Shabbir Ahluwalia, captain of the Boxy Boys was all smiles as he mingled with his teammates and other friends at the India-Bangladesh Wheelchair Cricket final match at the Goregaon Sports Club in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh leveled the three-match bilateral wheelchair T20 cricket series after beating host India by seven wickets Tuesday in Mumbai.

The home side had earlier taken a 1-0 lead following their close one-run win over the visitor Sunday. The series-decider will be held Wednesday.

India posted 141 for the loss of four wickets in their stipulated 20 overs, Sourav top-scoring for his side with 53. Mohidul, Rajon and Shipon bagged one wicket each for Bangladesh.

In reply, Bangladesh romped home in 17 overs, Ripon scoring the highest 66. Captain Mohammad Mohsin chipped in with a valuable 26.

Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty was present during the second game where he offered encouragement to the players of the two teams.

Following Wednesday’s match, India and Bangladesh will contest a tri-nation series, also involving Nepal, in Delhi starting Saturday. Bangladesh team will return home on April 13.
